The world population is growing rapidly and the agricultural sector is trying to catch up with the growing demand. The ever increasing pressure from big supermarket chains force farmers to use pesticides and fertilizers which harm the soil and emmett greenhouse gases, which in turn contributes to global warming. What if there was an alternative for the current farming ways? One that is clean, efficient and helps crops grow quickly while maintaining quality?
plantAID is a design fiction exploration which builds a stage that allows the audience to participate and experience the project, rather than finding technical solutions. The purpose plantAID is to grab people's’ attention and start a conversation about mixing technology with plants and crops which has immense potential, but also question the ethics of this seeing the risks that may arise for the plants.

世界人口爆炸性增长，与日俱增的食品需求令全球农业应接不暇。而商业经济对农民的压力使得化学肥料与农药对植物大量使用，一定程度上损害土壤以及制造温室气体，进而导致全球变暖。科学家积极寻找对策，那么是否可以存在一种当前耕作方式的替代方案既绿色环保又能帮助植物在保持品质的同时快速生长呢？
比起寻找一个可行的技术方案，植物植物急救器项目更侧重于利用design fiction为工具去建造舞台、展开对话、提出问题，引发人们对该自然、科技和人性问题的关注、探讨和反思。从而起到解决问题的导向作用。

plantAID created a fictional reality environment by present the false as real. The exhibition has three areas including a display and experience area in which the audience can interact with plantAID. PlantAID is a prototype, based on AED defibrillator technology which is used in medical emergencies when a patient's heart has stopped beating. This prototype can accelerate their growth, heal them when sick and give them a peaceful death when they cannot be saved anymore. The environment around the plantAID machine is an important factor in making the audience perceive the plantAID project as real.
植物急救器是一个基于AED人体急救器概念和技术而创造的植物急救机器原型。该急救器具有帮助植物生长，急救濒死植物以及给予植物安乐死等不同功能。植物急救中心结合了科技、装置、表演、视觉、体验共同设计创造了一个真实的幻想，并利用不同的策略说服观众步入其中。展览共设置三个区域以供观众参观，互动与体验。科普区展示了产品科学背景理论研究与产品发布会，展示区陈列了实验操作，而最后的体验区则给予了观众一个使用机器以及与作者互动表演的舞台。
The environment around the plantAID machine together with the device itself allows the audience to perceive the false as real. The point of the project is not to offer a technical solution but rather start conversation about the relationship between nature humanity and technology.
整个拟真的环境加上精心设计的表演使得观众真假难辨，获得其最真实的反馈。分析利弊，探讨未来。
