BERGHAIN name comes from a Berlin club which is known as the coolest Electro club. Every Friday, when the night falls, the lonely human beings all over the world fly here for three days and three nights’ carnival without a break.
This two-dimensional animation presents in the form of abstract geometry by using programming and collage technique. It is composed of three similar but different but still related stories, which is inspired by the physicist Richard Phillips Feynman’s anti-matter theory. Frankly speaking, someone holds a point of view that the whole universe is composed of an electron’s constant motion along the time axis. That is to say, our body, houses, pets, food, drinking water and so on, all the different things in the world actually are made of a same electron composition.
This story is about a series of roaming events in the universe of this electron composition. It experiences loneliness, finding, encounter, carnival, silence, and it also feels lonely, happy, joy, sad, and relieved. Now, I want to use this electron metaphor of all the lonely things in the universe, not only human beings.
Nowadays, while we are connected more tightly than ever before, we are more easily become lonely. So we fight for this all the life by using our friends, lovers, families, internet and party. However, in my point of view, if all the things in the world are come from a same electron, the essence of the universe is lonely. As the lonely electron creates a lonely universe, why do we try to drive and avoid loneliness?

BERGHAIN名字来自于被誉为宇宙最酷的柏林电音club。每当周五夜幕降临，无数个孤单灵魂从世界各地飞往berghain加入三天三夜不停歇的狂欢之中。
这个二维混合三维的动画由processing编程, 以抽象几何的形式呈现。它以三章相似却又不同但互相连接的故事组成，讲述了一枚电子在宇宙空间中产生，徘徊，寻找，创造，相遇，狂欢，孤寂的一段奇遇故事。
作品概念来自于著名物理学家费曼的反物质理论。简单来说，宇宙所有的一切都是由一枚电子在正负时间轴上不断运动所产生的。也就是说其实我们的身体，房子，食物，宠物，水，空气等等本质上来说都是同一枚电子的不同表现形式。
当下，我们之间连接从未如此紧密然而同时我们却经常感觉到前所未有的孤单。为此我们渴望来自朋友，爱人，亲人的陪伴关爱，痴迷各种娱乐方式并沉醉于网络的狂欢之中。然而，孤单却仍然时刻如影随形并在生命中的某一时刻像猛兽般向我们袭来。
为什么？
因为孤单才是宇宙的常态。因为所有的相聚离合不过源于一颗电子，不是吗？
